Ramiro Cantu, age 76, passed away on September 30, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was born on October 5, 1939 to Salomon and Manuela B. Cantu.

Ramiro was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and retired from National Linen Service after over 20 years of service. He enjoyed spending quality time fishing with his family and was a die-hard Bucs fan and spent time with his brothers attending football games at Buccaneer Stadium. He was an avid fan of all sports and spent most of his time watching football, basketball, baseball and wrestling. He especially never missed a Dallas Cowboys football game or a Houston Astros baseball game.
Ram will be remembered most for his passion for animals. There was not a stray cat or dog in his neighborhood that went hungry because he would feed them all! He also had very special place in his heart for his best friend and dog, Luna. He had a kind heart and was a loving and loyal brother and uncle. He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents, Salomon and Manuela B. Cantu and his sister, Elida Valadez.

He is survived by his brothers, Frank B. Cantu, George B. Cantu, Salomon B. Cantu and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2016 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Pallbearers will be George B. Cantu, Jr., Gary Cantu, Georgia Cantu, Taylor C. Johnson, Anna Lisa King and Jill Burttschell.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. To view tribute, please visit
